Would you rather be one of five people sharing a pan of brownies cut into ten pieces or one of six people sharing a pan of brownies cut into twelve pieces? Explain your reasoning.
I would like to be one of five people sharing a pizza cut into ten slices because I'd rather eat 2 tenths of a pizza than 2 twelfths of a pizza. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhy are tenths better than twelfths?
DeleteI would rather be 1 in 5 people because I would get more!
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think you would get more?
DeleteI would rather be one one of the 5 people sharing 10 brownies. I would because 1/10 is bigger than 1/12. I would eat the pan of 12 brownies if it was bigger than the other one.
ReplyDeleteBecause /10 has a bigger size then /12

You are correct that 1/10 is bigger than 1/12 as long as the brownie pans are the same size!!
DeleteI would rather be one of five people sharing a pan of brownie cut into ten pieces because it’s more friends
ReplyDeleteI would rather be one of five people sharing a pan of 10 brownies because something cut into 12 pieces is smaller than something cut into 10 pieces.
ReplyDeleteI would rather be 1 of 5 people sharing a pan of brownies because if you had a pan of 10 brownies then the brownies would be bigger then the pan of brownies with 12 brownies if they are in the same size of pan.
